"The courageous story of Edgar Torres immigrating to the US illegally with his father in the 80s" and his path of giving his children a better future.

Chiapas: Prayer for the Weavers on Alexander Street

"Gripped by painful memories of the civil war... twenty-four women members of a Tzotzi family cooperative gather for a festival to display their work in order to market it". Prayer, music, and weaving intertwine in the homage to Mayan traditions "to those who have suffered and died resisting oppression". Follow the family and the documentary describe life for these weavers. Alexander Street videos are provided free from the Library.
