Terms and Conditions for Quiet Space

Rules for Using Quiet Spaces

  1. Check in for your appointment at the Library Desk so we don’t give your space away to someone else.
  2. This is a QUIET STUDY SPACE. Remember – you’re on camera!
  3. Keep all noises to a minimum. This means being aware of your personal habits like sniffing when we need a tissue, talking to yourself, or other behaviors we don’t always notice. We all do these types of things, but the distraction can be amplified in a quiet space.
  4. You must use headphones for all videos, music, textbook read-aloud programs, etc.
  5. No Zoom calls, phone calls, or video calls. If you need to take/make a call, please leave the area.
  6. Food and drink are limited to snacks and simple foods. Nobody wants to be in here with stinky food.
  7. No collaborating or talking – that’s what group study spaces are for.
  8. Clean up after yourself.
