Guides on Highlight: Research Help
Would you like some help on researching, but it feels like your question is too silly to ask the Comet Learning Center (the CLC)? First! They say there are no silly questions (so true), but sometimes it feels silly to ask them. Well, that is what our Research Help guide is for!
Take a look at our research guide using this link and look around to get answers to some of your questions. Once you look around, you can feel confidant enough to start your research or at least feel confidant enough to ask further questions.
Asking questions is great. Finding out what you don't know is amazing. And continuing to improve is fantastic.
WITcha Reading?
Librarian Morgan has been busy since December! She's read 6 books and 2 manga! (That's too much to name here!)
Her 2025 reading goal is 50. The important thing to know about reading goals is to set a goal you can break down into segments. Goals are more likely to get done once you can see a plan in place. Do you have a weekly plan? A monthly plan? Those are good places to start!
WITcha Listening To?
Do you have a favorite podcast? Tell us all about it!
Do You Want to Be in a Book Club?

Calling all departments and clubs!
The Library is wanting to start a multi-book book club!
Who can be in the club?
Anybody!
Who can submit a book for book club?
Any department and student club!
What books can be in the book club?
Any book you would like. It doesn't have to be academic. It could even be the “for fun” book everyone has been passing around in the office.
How often can a book for book club be submitted?
That depends on the department and club. At least once a year (fiscal or calendar) or as many times as you want.
We submitted our book, now what?
First of all, thank you! Second, your book will go on the Library website on a special book club section. The department and club who submitted will have the opportunity to talk about their submission on the Library Blog.
If you have anything for the book club, want to be part of the book club, or have questions, please let Librarian Morgan know.
